” After just two training sessions with Anthony and a handful of group classes with the whole Say It Once Team, I feel so much more knowledgeable about how to work with my dog. Previously, she was almost impossible to walk due to pulling on the leash and would jump on anyone in her vicinity. Anthony showed us how to correct these behaviors (and more) and taught us how to do some fun obedience sessions with our dog that make daily life so much easier while also keeping her stimulated. It makes my heart burst to see how much my dog loves Anthony and how happy she is while we're training. In group classes, Vinnie is absolutely wonderful at putting people (and pups) at ease. My dog is a whiner around other dogs and gets overly excited, which can be a distraction. However, Vinnie always makes a point that everyone is working on something, and highlights what the dogs and owners are doing well. “Michelle was the best thing that every happened to us and our dog! We have a good dog that means well and has a big heart, but does not have good manners. Michelle worked with him inside and outside the house to help us improve his manners and how he listens and focuses on us and the task. She was training us as well - how to be better humans to our dog when it comes to training him and keeping him engaged. We needed Michelle, because without her we didn't know what we were doing wrong. I was amazed at how quickly he caught on to what she was showing him. I took him on a walk the day after our training, and the dog that usually pulls and takes me on a walk, well... I got to take him on the walk for once lol. He walked beside me the whole time. In the training we learned how to mentally focus our dog. He was more exhausted after one hour with Michelle than he is after 4 hours of swimming in the pool. “ Today I had Anthony come to my home to help me train my 1 1/2 yr old collie, Cookie. She has fear and anxiety issues. I was training with another trainer for 5 months prior to meeting Anthony. I learned a lot from my other trainer, but the results I saw today after ONLY one 2 1/2 hour training session were beyond my expectations. A few hours after Anthony left my home, I headed out for a training session of my own. After a 45 minute walk and 5 encounters with other dogs, I was in tears! He taught me what I needed to do to help her with her reactions to other dogs and strangers. The results I was experiencing for my 1st time were amazing! She was walking on a loose leash for 95% of the walk too! I was so excited, and so thankful that I called SIODT. Before I share my experience with Say it Once I want to give a huge thank you to Anthony...none of this would have been possible without your help and support 😊 Our 2 year old labradoodle, Trigger, is a very high energy, overly excited, fun-loving dog, so much so that I couldn’t take him places or have people at the house. Trigger didn’t possess the ability to control himself (or so I thought) and would to greet visitors by jumping and completely invading their personal space. Anthony was wonderful to work with!!! Not only did Trigger respond very well to him, but he made the training easy and fun. He explained the reasoning behind things in a way that I had never thought of and made perfect sense. We are now 2 weeks out of Anthony’s initial visit and we are able to have guests at the house and enjoying daily walks in the neighborhood. “ I can’t say enough good things about Vinnie and Say It Once Dog Training. We have two dogs; Polly we have had for 4 years and Nox a year and a half. Polly has been a difficult dog for us since day one. She has a lot of anxiety and can be reactive to all kinds of things, including bikes, motorcycles, kids, and some people. Before Vinnie, we worked with 3 different trainers but we were never really able to solve any of our issues with her. We adopted Nox thinking it would help deal with some of her anxiety but it made some issues worse. Nox is a great dog but is highly reactive, distracted, and has tons of energy. Walking the dogs together was very challenging and the thought of one person walking both dogs solo was quickly put off as an impossible task. Since we do not have a backyard, exercising the dogs daily became a huge time constraint for us. To make matters worse, the dogs started showing signs of aggression towards one another in our home. This prompted us to reach out to some local dog trainers but we were told the issues were too serious and we were recommended to work with a behaviorist that would charge us a lot for an initial consultation to evaluate whether or not the dogs needed to be medicated. Luckily, I have a friend from the Pittsburgh area who recommended Vinnie so we reached out and set up an appointment. We drove 5.5 hours from Virginia for our initial training session. We were blown away by the results! Three and half hours with Vinnie showing us how to properly walk and handle our dogs and our lives have been forever changed. Every day we have seen amazing progress in our dogs, most notably, one person can walk both dogs with little to no incidents, there has been no more aggressive interactions between both dogs, they have done wonderfully meeting new people, and Polly recently spent an entire weekend surrounded by young children and she was perfect! We have been brought to tears by this progress. We really never thought we would be where we are and it only took 4 months of working with Say It Once Dog Training. We are excited to continue working with Vinnie and his awesome team!” |
