Bootcamp Overview: Once you’ve had an initial session and have successfully completed a group class, with us your dog is now eligible for Say It Once Dog Training Bootcamps!
Bootcamps are designed to focus on specific training for a small group of dogs. We offer a few different types of Bootcamps depending on what your needs are, and what you want to focus on.
1 Week Bootcamp @ The Dog House.
Our weeklong bootcamp at Lower Burrell is a great option for our clients that A) have been putting in the work, but need extra reinforcement with obedience commands, social skills, reactivity, separation anxiety B) Are going on vacation and want your dog to have the best overnight, and training care possible C) Want to give their dog a fun week with their favorite training company and enjoy the well behaved dog that gets handed back! You have the option to pick up every evening, or to have your dog stay overnight at the Dog House (limited spots available)!
What’s Included
Bootcamps in Rosslyn Farms with Erin
How it Works: You will drop your dog off at the trainer’s house between 8:30-9:30am on the specified days of bootcamp and pick up between 4:30-5:30pm. Your dog will get focused 1-on-1 training with the trainer throughout the day. Boarding overnight is available on a first-come first-serve basis for up to 2 dogs (must be crate trained).
E-Collar Focused Bootcamp: Are you already an ecollar client but want to have your dog off-leash? Are you using the drag line and don’t feel comfortable yet to take the leash off? This bootcamp is for you! Goals for the end of this bootcamp series are to have your dog be able to be off-leash for walking, hikes, yard, and to give your dog that extra freedom it deserves! Dog must already be conditioned to the ecollar. Not for new ecollar clients.
Beginner/Advanced Leash Obedience Skills: Does your dog need a little extra work on leash? This series is perfect for those dogs that need some 1-on-1 help with leash skills for the busy family! Beginners would focus on obedience on leash, heel, sit, down, come, stay, and loose leash free walks/hikes. Advanced would include everything in beginner plus urban skills at restaurants, stores, breweries, and navigating busy streets.
Not for reactive dogs.
Dog-Reactivity Bootcamp: Is your dog reactive to other dogs on leash or in your yard? This bootcamp is perfect for you. There is no quick fix for dog-reactive dogs, but this bootcamp will help you and your dog get on the fast-track for helping you both work through this issue. Goals for this bootcamp include learning to coexist around neutral dogs (not every dog is scary!), working at their threshold level and below and using behavioral adjustment techniques to address their reactivity.
CGC Prep Bootcamp: Are you interested in your dog becoming a therapy dog? The Canine Good Citizen Program teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners. Passing the CGC Test (separate) is a prerequisite for the therapy dog program. This bootcamp will only focus on the 10-steps required to pass the evaluation. The 10-step evaluation consist of: Accepting a friendly stranger, Sitting Politely for Petting, Appearance and Grooming, Out for a Walk (walking on a loose lead), Walking Through a Crowd, Sit and Down on Command and Staying in Place, Coming When Called, Reaction to Another Dog, Reaction to Distraction, and Supervised Separation.
Not for reactive dogs. Must be over 1 years old.
